Idea 2

For my second idea I decided to follow up on what Marie Claire CEO of woman in games advised me to do which was burying artefacts with the dead to keep them safe in the afterlife. My main topic of research into this is discovering a new civilisation which is what archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans who uncovered an ancient city. Evans was also the curator of the Ashmolean museum which is one of the oldest public museums of art, archaeology and natural history.

To keep things a bit more straight forward I've decided to make my idea about the discovering something new.

Visuals of what I want to make

As this idea is about discovering things, I looked at some temple ideas and temple designs in minecraft.

Minecraft would be the perfect way to demonstrate a prototype where you work your way through an environment and discover items that buried deep inside a temple and maybe a whole different world.

Verbs

What can the player do... explore, discover, pick up, build

Rules

Why the player is doing it... win conditions are placing objects in the world that make it sustainable and without the adequate amount of resources to build the new world the player loses the game.

Meaningful feedback for the player would be a display inventory to show what items need to be obtained and which items are the least valuable.

Mechanics

How the player does it... dig, walk

Mood board of locations art styles from games

These images are what the underground locations could look like which are the first 3 images and the concept art from games like surge and fallout could be our previous world which is now a desolate wasteland of limited resources left with a realistic feel to it. Our world is dystopic and the new word is utopic

Main inspiration

The player needs to find some water to grow his plants for crops and vegetation
